Smiles, claps, and cheers filled the auditorium of WINBC as we recognized 111 children that completed the Operation Christmas Child Program of our Heritage Children's Ministry. We thank the Lord for the leadership of Bro. Maddox Atadero and the faithfulness of the teachers and volunteers every Saturday teaching these children the Word of God after they had received the shoe box gifts in the 1st quarter of 2011. God's simple plan of salvation is the 1st lesson they learned and they were given the opportunity to respond to God's call to salvation. Then the discipleship lessons were used to follow through every decision and have truly impacted the lives of the children. One child from area 2, Arnold Ople said, that he wants to be a pastor as God calls him and another boy from Area 3, Kenneth Publico, also indicated his desire to serve the Lord as a pastor when they grow up.
God's Word is truly transforming. We are praying that God will use His Word as a seed that will grow and bear fruits in the lives of these precious children as they mature into adulthood. We have also seen the obedience of many of their parents following in water baptism after they had received Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.
