'2 Tim. 2:2; Ecc. 3:1; Psalm 119:126 When we look back at God's timing and God's work in the Philippines, we see the steady moving of God. Even as far as secular history is concerned, it would have been very easy for the people of the Philippines to have gone like the other South East Asian countries. They chose to move toward Christianity instead. G God raised up dynamic pioneering missionaries that were mightily used of God to produce Godly, dedicated, doctrinally sound Filipino leaders that would follow through on building great soul winning Baptist Churches. In God's timing, economic situations develop that caused many Filipinos to leave their homeland to seek work in other countries. This was one of God's ways to show the world the hard work ethic of the Filipino. This was one of God's ways to cause Filipinos to be willing to leave their families and their families and their lovely homeland thus preparing the way in God's time for Filipino missionaries to begin to go worldwide. They have gone and re being mightily used of God. In God's time, wise men designed a vehicle whereby monies can be properly handled by men of integrity thus the Asian Baptist Clearinghouse with written guidelines was established. Then in God's time God raised out Filipino leaders that were ready to launch a world mission movement. Overseas workers and dedicated pastors began to sense the call of God to become full time missionaries in foreign lands. The growth of this movement has been phenomenal - yes miraculous. In God's time the Godly men of vision, our leaders, realized that four things needed to take place. First, a band of intercessors needed to be recruited for we all knew that this was not by power nor by might but by the Spirit of God so 10,000 prayer warriors gladly took their places as daily intercessors. Second, it became apparent that this was a nationwide movement for missions so dedicated leaders were chosen to head up regional movements to help pastors develop their home and foreign missions program. Some leaders have traveled tirelessly throughout the islands promoting worldwide missions. Yes, it has been miraculous. Thirdly, we all realized that to sustain such a growing missionary force, we must have more churches in the Philippines, thus in God's time a major church planting emphasis was made and this too was miraculous. Fourth, along with the church planting movement we called for recruiting partners in other ships, that each pastor would recruit three other pastors to start supporting our missionaries. This was very effective and reached out to other Independent Baptist groups. Accompanying this emphasis on world missions, God opened the the a door of opportunity almost unequaled in history through Saturation Evangelism for miillions of young people to hear a clear presentation of the Gospel. What is happening is unheard of in other countries. Thus, in God's time He has singled out the Philippines to become a world leader in home and foreign evangelism. Then another phenomenon has been occurring. Filipinos from our churches have gone to many countries and continued to serve the Lord as they worked jobs to support their families. Another miraculous event is ready to be launched. This is 'WTTE - WORKERS TRAINED TO EVANGELIZE'. Countless numbers of overseas workers have gone to countries worldwide. Many sincere dedicated Christians desiring to be used of God among other Filipinos and the people whom they work. They are ready to be trained and commissioned by our churches to become extensions of their home church in foreign lands. For instance, in Hong Kong a church made up primarily of Filipino overseas workers has become a major supporter of our foreign missionaries. Groups of Filipinos in many countries are now supporting our missionaries. Also, our foreign pastors and several of our missionaries have come from the overseas labor forces. we must now take advantage of God's time and launch a worldwide movement among workers trained to evangelize. Basically what it involves is each pastor that has overseas workers from their churches gives them prepared lessons on the 'articles of faith'. After the pastor has taught the worker then prior to their departure to their country, recognize them in a special church service, charge them to live Godly, win souls and conduct Bible studies. If God should use them to gather a large group then the pastors could go and organize an extension church. The lessons that have been prepared are basically Fill in the blank. As the lessons are taught and all the scripture read and the lessons are finished the one receiving the training should agree in writing that they will continue in the doctrine they have learned. For those workers already on the field, they should be given a copy of the lessons with the answers on the back. The worker should be required to fill in the blanks, summarize each lesson, read the scriptures and send the summaries to their pastor. They should keep the lessons for use in their teaching. No doubt this is God's time for launching a worldwide lay movement. Please keep in mind this is following the scriptural example of Acquilla and Priscilla, lay workers invovled in using their home as a center of evangelism. There are other examples in the Word of God. Let's take advantage of our great opportunity to have extensions throughout the world.
